John Paige is a Professor of Clinical Surgery with appointments in Anesthesiology and Radiology at the LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine. He is currently the surgical Director of the American College of Surgeons Accredited Education Institute at the LSU Health School of Medicine. In 2013, he became a Teaching Scholar within the LSU Health New Orleans Teaching Academy, and, in 2018, he was an inaugural Associate Member of the American College of Surgeons Academy of Master Surgeon Educators. He has held several leadership positions on committees related to simulation and surgical education within national organizations in addition to serving as co-investigator or principal investigator for Federal and national societal grants related to simulation-based team training and assessment. He has published and presented extensively on a variety of topics including simulation-based training, inter-professional education, surgical skills acquisition, debriefing, teamwork, human factors, and surgical education.
